M.J.Hiblen

I started my work in illustration and fine art at the age of 17, producing work for a number of underground comics, then moving up to work for Dark Horse publications a few years later. Dissatisfied with a sea of mediocre jobs, and wanting to explore my ideas further, I concentrated on experimenting with my work, as well as teaching Art and Visual studies. I have also had a number of successful solo exhibitions, including 'A-for-Andy-Kaufman' in 2001. The Retro-Portfolio section has a small selection of my back catalogue, prior to my current work which mixes traditional illustration with digital-art.
